Accounting Assistant

The Accounting Assistant will perform routine data entry and follow‐up in accounts payable, billings, subcontracts, and GL. The ideal candidate must be able to work 8am‐5pm, M‐F, on site in our Camas, WA office, and possess a proactive work ethic. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to expand on their accounting skills – training will be provided for this role.

  • Perform GL data entries on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Review vendor statements & invoices for accuracy; alert supervisory staff of any discrepancies; complete weekly check runs for multiple affiliates
  • Create subcontract agreements & track/follow up on outstanding agreements until fully executed
  • Track vendor compliance for active licenses, insurance, certified payroll,
  • Interact in‐person, via phone, Teams, and email with employees, customers, and vendors
  • Provide backup phone and receptionist support
  • Cross‐train in various accounting roles for vacation/time‐off coverage


  • An Associate’s Degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience in accounting desired
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player; not afraid to ask questions and willing to engage with various departments & teams
  • Self‐motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Integrity to handle confidential company and employee information
