Fitzgibbon Glass Building

This “showroom-quality” multi-tenant retail building is for industrial and wholesale tenants. The project included extensive interior demolition and the demolition of an adjacent warehouse. Other project highlights include salvaging major timbers from the warehouse and incorporating them into the building façade and future tenant spaces; using a sustainable lead paint abatement technique to immobilize lead particles in the paint; completing a substantial seismic upgrade, which allowed us to add previously nonexistent window openings; and using flow-through planters/bio-swales to provide an effective storm water management system for the site. Robertson & Olson won the McGraw Hill 2007 Best Green Industrial Building award for this project.
